Virtual Reality Interaction

To further the immersion in VR when interacting with objects I implemented and fine tuned different aspects that all work together to create a sense of realism. In this case it's with a virtual medical scanner using the HTC Vive on a desktop platform. The functionality includes procedural hand/finger poses to dynamically follow geometry. Hand snapping to geometry and objects and spring joints on interactive objects to create a sense of weight. Last but not least haptic(rumble) feedback based on how much you pull/push an object to enhance the effect of weight and feedback.
